Missouri COVID-19 Vaccine Information

The State of Missouri will offer Free Vaccinations –According to the Missouri Department of Health & Senior Services, the state is committed to providing a free COVID-19 vaccination experience to all Missourians, including those without insurance. No person can be billed for the COVID-19 vaccine. Vaccination providers may charge an administration fee to your insurance, Medicaid or Medicare, if applicable in your situation. Uninsured Missourians will be able to receive the vaccination regardless of their health insurance status.

Stone County vaccinations: As of January 18, 2021 Stone County has opened Phase 1B – Tier 1 which includes:

~ Anyone aged 65 and older

~ Any adults with cancer, Chronic Kidney Disease, COPD, Heart Conditions, weakened immune system due to organ transplant, severe obesity (BMI >40), pregnancy, Sickle Cell Disease, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, or individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome.

If you are eligible contact the Stone County Health Department at (417) 357-6134 and select Option 5 to be placed on the waiting list. It may be several weeks before enough vaccines are available. Get your name and contact info on the waiting list today.

Currently, the senior center is closed to normal activities.
